A firm built from lived experience and real practice.
Nyajuok Deng, Esq. is a South Sudanese-American attorney, civic strategist, and cultural bridge-builder. Her work with clients begins with three questions: Who are you, really? What are you building, and why now? And how do you build it with integrity, so what you create can actually last?
Originally from South Sudan and raised in in the Midwest (Minnesota & Iowa), Nyajuok graduated cum laude from Iowa State University and in the top of her class from Howard University School of Law. Her professional legal career includes roles at top BigLaw firms, the Department of Justice, the World Bank, the U.S. Trade Representative's Office, and currently serves as Corporate Counsel at a global SaaS company.
Prior to law school, Nyajuok worked in education, first at Edison High School in Minneapolis as a College Possible coach and Americorp member, and at the International Student and Scholar Services office at the University of Minnesota.
She is the founder of North & Nile, a consulting and advisory practice supporting founders, creative entrepreneurs, and civic leaders at the intersection of legal strategy, governance, and community impact. She is a National Bar Association 40 Under 40 honoree, a three-time Minnesota Pro Bono Honor Roll recipient, and a board member at Emerge Community Development.
